Tame the Artwork Overload!

Artwork

Are your kids creative masters this summer? Do you love all the artwok but struggle with what to do with it all? Pretty soon they’ll be back in school and bringing lots of papers home that they’ll want to show off. Here are some inventive ideas that look great and solve display dilemmas.

sheet metal, art organization

Sheet metal is not just for commercial applications! This is such a versatile product for residential use in kitchens, offices, bedrooms, and workshops. You can cover an entire wall from corner to corner or you can have a piece cut to whatever dimension works in your design plan. It can be glued or screwed onto the wall or even inserted into a large picture frame. It can handle your never-ending supply of artwork with the simple addition of magnets.

cork wall, artwork display, kids rooms

Cork tiles come with peel and stick backings and can be used to cover a small section or an entire wall. Push pins secure the art to the cork so I wouldn’t recommend this display solution for homes with young children that are still exploring and putting small objects in his or her mouth.

whiteboard, whiteboard paint

Instead of always using paper to create the artwork, consider painting a wall with white board paint. Many parents have opted to paint with chalkboard paint and let the kids go wild, but the dust from the chalk can get a bit tedious to clean. Now you can buy quarts of whiteboard paint and cleanup is much easier with the markers than with the chalk.

art display

Finally, displaying art can be as simple as hanging a piece of ribbon or string across the wall and using clothespins or decorative clips to hang the art. You can hang one single string or hange several horizontal rows of string depending upon space allowances and the quantity of art you have.

No matter which display option you select, your children will be elated knowing that you are proud to display their masterpieces. Do you have any other creative display ideas you use at your home? Please share them in the comment section below!
