Autumn Stone

“I love reading parenting books and find golden nuggets in each of them. One that has always stuck with me that I read years ago was from Linda Eyre. “Be the calm in the storm.” Days rarely go as planned, big feelings strike and can be easy to get swept into the craziness and escalate it. I’m continuing to learn that I can be the calm by talking in a soft manner, seeking to understand the situation and keeping my facial expressions uplifting.”

Corie Dulken

“PICK. YOUR. BATTLES. I would also add ‘Love and Limits’.”

Caitlin Thielen

“Slow down. Take time to really hang with your kids. Make time with each kid individually. You can clean and do all the other things later on.”

Brad Panovich

“Don’t let your kids have a phone until they are in 8th grade or even high school. Trust me, most tech CEOs do this, and it’s 100% the thing to do, and they created these things! No matter how much your kids complain, they will thank you later in life!”

Karly Barker

“My Dad’s biggest piece of parenting advice was to get out of my kids’ way and let them become who they are supposed to become. I have really cherished this fatherly advice as I’ve let their personalities and passions shine. It is rewarding for all of us.”

Nidhi McVicar

“Don’t compare your insides to other people’s outsides. This is so important, particularly in the age of social media. Every parent is navigating their own challenges and their own reality. I think talking about how hard and stressful it really is destigmatizes the hard times for everyone on this journey.”

Molly Phillips

“Every child is different – what works with one might not work with the other. Having a new baby has certainly reminded me of that. Forrest is a very different baby than Nell was. I’m doing a little bit of re-learning right now.”
