First Steps: Making A Plan

One of the biggest challenges for my clients is knowing where to begin their journey. They have the motivation to make lifestyle changes, but are lost on where to start and what to focus on first. This is why I put together a personalized plan for each client. This week I have worked with both families to produce a plan for our eight weeks together.
Each family will focus on similar topics, although we will adjust the details to their individual needs. The topics we will cover include meal planning and mindful eating, time and stress management, lifestyle choices, social support, and staying motivated. I will also incorporate a personality-type assessment and some other fun tools.
This past Monday, Tracey got started with some grocery shopping/meal planning basics by attending a class I lead in partnership with Harris Teeter. We teach class participants how to save time and money, while sticking to their healthy foods list, via Express Lane, HT’s online shopping system. Look for an upcoming post from Tracey on her experience!
I hope everyone has a healthy Easter/Passover weekend! – Maureen
