Partnership Pushes Love of Reading to Charlotte Schools

OrthoCarolina and Promising Pages are helping to increase local kids’ love of reading through a three-year funding partnership that expands Promising Pages Magic Book Party programs to Sedgefield, Billingsville and Walter G. Byers elementary schools — doubling the capacity of its early literacy program at Title I and high-risk charter schools. 

Promising Pages encourages teens to help leverage book resources for children in need and increase early literacy through Team Read summer internships. Participants gain complete knowledge of what it takes to operate a nonprofit, from volunteer management to partnership building to financing.
