Holiday Apple Cider

1 gallon jug of apple cider
1 large bottle cranberry juice
2 navel oranges
2 large lemons
2-3 cinnamon sticks
1 tablespoon whole cloves
Combine the cider and cranberry juice in a large stockpot. Peel oranges and lemons and add the peelings to the pot. Discard pulp or reserve for another use. Add in cinnamon sticks and whole cloves. Allow mixture to simmer. When the cider is hot, it is ready to serve.
To give as a gift: Cool mulled cider completely, strain and return to a decorative bottle or jug. Store repackaged cider in refrigerator. The mix reheats well in the microwave.
