Charlotte Sporting Events for Families
There’s no lack of professional sports teams and sporting attractions in Charlotte to keep fans of all ages entertained year-round. Settle in and cheer on the home teams.
Kids can run the bases each Sunday at Charlotte Knights home games in Fort Mill, and visit the Rookie Play Zone. Make plans to catch a game at the new stadium in uptown Charlotte in 2014.

Two of NASCAR’s biggest events are held at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord. Catch the action at the Coca-Cola 600 each May and the Bank of America 500 in October.
Queen’s Cup Steeplechase
Thoroughbreds and Jack Russell Terriers race for the prize at this event held each April at Brooklandwood in Union County. Hat contests and pony rides add to the fun.

PGA golfers compete for the Wells Fargo Championship title at Quail Hollow Country Club each spring. Watch tour pros warm up and practice after rounds are completed.
