Celebrating 1 Million Minutes in the Fit Family Challenge

The 2015 Fit Family Challenge is pulsing ahead, and last Friday North Carolina hit 1 million minutes of activity! Whoohoo! That’s something to shout about. Charlotte Parent’s dedicated FFC families have hit a remarkable 401,000 minutes of activity as of Monday morning, but we aren’t the only ones in North Carolina working hard toward healthy lifestyles. Our sister publications, Piedmont Parent and Carolina Parent, are also in the midst of the eight-week Fit Family Challenge in their markets. We actually have a friendly competition in the works of who will have the most minutes at the end of the eight weeks! (Have a friend in Raleight or Winston-Salem? Greensboro or Chapel Hill? It’s time to challenge them!)
Here’s a quick glance of all that’s been happening across the state at Fit Family Challenge events in the past 17 days since the challenge kicked off.
It’s never too late to get in on the action. Sign up today and start logging your family’s activity minutes and healthy habits in the online Activity Tracker. The more minutes and healthy habits you do, the more points you earn toward weekly prizes (including gift cards to Athleta and Target – who wouldn’t love one of those?), plus entries into the grand-prize drawing for a trip to Universal Orlando Resort?.
Our expert panel is also dishing out great advice to help participants find the path to healthier lifestyles, and we are offering FREE fitness classes around town that gives you an opportunity to try new activites!?With five weeks, to go, there is still time to register your family for the challenge and join in on the fun and fitness! Let’s get moving Charlotte!
