CELEBRATE FALL IN STATESVILLE
Head to downtown Statesville on Saturday, November 4 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for Statesville Pumpkin Fest. Look for a classic car show; a kids’ zone with inflatables; live entertainment; food vendors; and beer, wine, and cocktails from Statesville’s Red Buffalo Brewing Co. The event is free and kids of all ages are welcome.
RING IN CHRISTMAS AT BIRKDALE VILLAGE
Visit Birkdale Village on Saturday, November 18 from 2 to 7:30 p.m. for Santa’s Arrival and Tree Lighting. Stroll through the Village to enjoy crafts, activities, and holiday performances by special guests; watch the parade at 4:30; see the lighting of the tree at 6:00; and stick around for live music until 7:30 p.m. The event is free and kids of all ages are welcome.
KICK OFF THE HOLIDAY SEASON AT TRUIST FIELD
Bring the family to Truist Field for Light the Knights on Wednesday, November 22 and see thousands of lights, trees, and displays. Shop for Christmas ornaments, jewelry, and local artwork, and check out the ice rink and snow tubing hill. Treat the kids to hot cider, fudge, burgers, strudel, pretzels, and more. Purchase tickets in advance and check the schedule to see when Santa will be at Christmas Village.
HAVE A NIGHT OUT IN UPTOWN
Bundle up the kids and head to uptown for the Novant Health Thanksgiving Eve Parade on Wednesday, November 22. The parade kicks off at 5:30 p.m. and runs along Tryon Street between 9th and Morehead Streets. See dance and choral performances, marching bands from around the region, floats, and balloons. If you can’t make it in person, the parade airs live on WBTV at 6 p.m.
