5 Places for a Fun Moms' Night Out in Charlotte

Grab your friends for a unique get together.

If you’re like most moms, you love a chance to get away with your friends sans the kids every once in a while. A Moms’ Night Out can be few and far between, so why not make the most of the special occasion? We’ve put together five ideas for a great night out in Charlotte, with the stipulation that talking about your kids is not allowed. (OK, who are we kidding? That will never happen!) We’d love to hear about other things you’ve done for a Moms’ Night Out in the comments below, too!

Strike City

210 E. Trade St.

Want a fun moms’ night out that’s quintessential Queen City? Grab a group of your closest friends and don a pair of those oh-so-stylish bowling shoes. Strike City offers an upscale bowling experience (their dress code discourages too-casual clothing attire) in a hip setting. Strike City has tons of amenities, from 18 bowling lanes to three full bars. Check their website before organizing, as Strike City regularly offers Ladies Night on Thursday evenings, where local businesses offer pampering to the female guests while raising funds for a cause.

Tonight's the night! 👯 We will be setting up shop at @strikecityclt for |ladies| night! 🚺 Come see what bowling looks like after a few martinis! 🍸🎳 #hiddenarrow #StrikeCity #popupshop #ladiesnight #bowlingwhiledrinking #thisisagoodidea

Our Town Cinemas

227 Griffith St., Davidson

At Our Town Cinemas, located in the quaint downtown area of Davidson, you can get the gals together for dinner AND a movie all in one place. The theaters are smaller and more intimate, with rows of tables and comfortable chairs in place of traditional stadium seating. You can order your food at the concession area (chose from burger and hot dog baskets, individual pizzas, appetizers, beer and wine, etc.) and the staff delivers it to your theater before and during the show. If you’re looking for different fare, opt for dinner at one of the popular restaurants located nearby, such as Brickhouse Tavern, Kindred, Sabi Asian Bistro or a number of others.

Wine and Design

1419 East Blvd., Suite J

18059 West Catawba Ave., Cornelius

Painting with a Twist

4724 Sharon Road, Suite J

9911 Rose Commons Drive, Suite A, Huntersville

335 W. Plaza Drive, Suite N, Mooresville

Want to include an artistic endeavor in your night out? There are numerous locations to paint and play in the Charlotte area. All the materials you’ll need to create a masterpiece, plus step-by-step instruction, are included in one price per person, and all you’ll need to supply is the snacks and wine! You might want to consider booking your group well in advance, as space on the evenings of popular designs tend to sell out quickly.

Kate’s Skating Center

14500 Independence Blvd., Indian Trail

Yes, the kids love roller skating, but moms just want to join in on the fun, too! Plan a retro night out with your friends. Kate’s Skating in Indian Trail provides the perfect backdrop, with its colorful setting and 14,000-square-feet of hardwood floor to show off the moves you know you still have.

Don't be a hater. Be a roller skater. ✌🏻️
