Maureen Carlomagno of Your Wellness Coach suggests the following ways to stay motivated with healthy habits.


1. Positive self talk.

Pick a mantra for yourself and say it on a regular basis. When negative thoughts creep in, stop and think about why, then try to re-frame to a positive thought.


2. Build a big network of support.

The more cheerleaders and helpers you have the better. Ask them for verbal and physical support.


3. Plan for success.

Plan for your week in advance as much as possible, while still being flexible if something changes.


4. Write down your goals.

Writing things out helps you think about what your goals are and looking at them daily will help you remember what you want your end result to be. Modify goals as needed to keep them fresh and relevant.


5. Take care of yourself as well as you take care of others.

Don't always leave your own needs for last. Take time to rest and eat properly. Feed your mind, body and soul so that you can continue to help those around you.
