Power Move: Dumbbell Side Bend

Work that waistline with these oblique muscle builders.

Where to do it:
At home or at the gym.

How to do it:
Hold dumbbell in one hand. Without twisting, bend at your waist as far as you can on the side you are holding the weight and reach across your head with your other arm, or put your other hand at your waist. Come back to upright position. Repeat same number of reps on other side.

How many reps:
Start with three sets of eight on each side, gradually increasing reps within a set.

Challenge yourself:
Hold a dumbbell in each hand overhead while bending to each side.

If you don’t have dumbbells, try using a can of soup as a weight instead
