Holy Movie Mania! Batman Swoops Into the Queen City

Don’t be surprised if you see the Batmobile cruising around town today. Batman is coming to town in his Batmobile. The legendary superhero is blasting in for a one-night screening of the film “Legends of the Knight” at the Epicentre Studio Movie Grill tonight, March 6.
Created by director Brett Culp, “Legends of the Knight” portrays uplifting true stories of individuals who were inspired to become real-life heroes by their childhood love of Batman, and the power they had to affect change in spite of their personal, emotional or physical obstacles.
Proceeds from the screening benefits Charlotte’s Council for Children’s Rights. The screening begins at 7pm, but Batman and his Batmobile will be there at 6pm for a meet-and-greet an hour before the movie begins.
The movie is a culmination of 62 interviews in 15 cities recorded by Culp and his team. Well-known Batfans who appear in the film include Michael Uslan; Denny O’Neil, legendary comic book storyteller who wrote and edited Batman’s tales for 20 years; and Gotham Chopra, co-author, “Seven Spiritual Laws of Superheroes” and son of best-selling author Deepak Chopra.
I haven’t seen it yet, but after watching the trailer, I felt inspired and uplifted. It’s a movie that makes you count your blessings and look at the good and strong around you.
I’d recommend this one for ages 10+ – and of course kids who believe in their inner superhero powers – but that doesn’t mean you can’t take the little ones to meet Batman before the show, and have photos taken with the superhero. Tickets are $20 at the door. Or reserve tickets here.
