CELEBRATE FALL IN STATESVILLE

Head to downtown Statesville on Saturday, November 1 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for Statesville Pumpkin Fest. Look for a classic car show; a kids’ zone with inflatables; live entertainment; food vendors; and beer, wine, and cocktails from Statesville’s Red Buffalo Brewing Co. The event is free and kids of all ages are welcome.

RING IN CHRISTMAS AT BIRKDALE VILLAGE

Visit Birkdale Village on Saturday, November 22 from 2 to 7 p.m. for Santa’s Arrival and Tree Lighting. Stroll through the Village to enjoy crafts, activities, and holiday performances by special guests; watch the parade at 4:30; see the lighting of the tree at 6:00; and stick around for live music until 7:00 p.m. The event is free and kids of all ages are welcome.

HAVE A FESTIVE NIGHT OUT IN UPTOWN

The 79th Annual Novant Health Thanksgiving Eve Parade returns to uptown on Wednesday, November 26. The Tryon Street procession—the largest in the Carolinas—has performances, floats, celebrities, marching bands, balloons, and a few surprises.

SHARE SOME HOLIDAY MAGIC WITH FAMILIES IN NEED

Bring the family to The Collector’s Room on Saturday, November 23 at 2:30 p.m. for Home for the Holidays, a family-friendly fundraiser in support of Charlotte Family Housing. Kids of all ages can decorate cookies, enjoy hot cocoa and holiday treats, pack stockings and send Christmas cards to Charlotte Family Housing neighbors, and participate in a family paddle raise geared towards budding philanthropists. Tickets are $50 for adults and $25 for kids 17 and under.
