What do you do if you love the spooky season and own a carwash? Create a Tunnel of Terror of course. “I have always loved Halloween and I wanted to have a safe, scary experience for all ages,” says David Warlick, owner of AquaWave Express Car Wash on Wilkinson Boulevard in Belmont. Warlick has transformed his carwash into a frightful experience in the past but took a few years off to focus on other things. He knew 2020 was the year to bring it back!

Thursday through Sunday from 7 p.m. till midnight through October 31, you can pack the car, pay $22 and head to the carwash for a good scare as well as a buff and dry, hot wax shine and Aqua Shield. While the carwash goes to work on your vehicle, flashing lights and fog reveal masked characters from scary clowns to people wielding chainsaws ready to give you and your passengers a memorable ride.

Warlick says TikTok videos of the Tunnel of Terror have topped over two million views and keep climbing. The experience is family-oriented and social distanced approved. 6415 Wilkinson Blvd, Belmont, NC 28012
