Cook Your Way Through the S.A.T: Recipes Worth a Thousand Words
Children, ages 10 and older, can follow the step-by-step recipes in “Cook Your Way Through the S.A.T.” (CreateSpace, 2011, $14.99), while also mastering 1,000 of the most frequently asked words on the S.A.T. Created by Charis Feiman-Mendel to fulfill an eighth-grade art requirement, this project turned learning tool uses 10 S.A.T.-study words in each recipe to help students understand the words’ meanings. Kids also can learn to cook some delicious items with recipes range from tofu enchiladas and ratatouille to cinnamon rolls and baklava.
