A Trip to Hound's Drive-In Movie Theater in Kings Mountain
Stay safe and watch a movie from the comfort of your car.

Treat the family to a different kind of night out when you pile the kids in the family roadster and spend an evening at Hound's Drive-In Movie Theater in nearby Kings Mountain.
If you've never had the thrill of enjoying a film from the comfort of your car or SUV and running back and forth to the concession stand for soda, candy and popcorn, now is the time! Hound's Drive-In makes family movie night a bargain at only $20 per carload and everyone can join in the fun – even your well-behaved, quiet dog.
This isn't your grandparent's drive-in movie theater! Hound's features high-definition movies on two 50-by-100-foot screens and is open weekends, including Sundays. The ticket booth opens at 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday evenings and 7 p.m. on Sundays. The movie starts at dusk (around 8:40 p.m.). Cash only for movie tickets but cards are accepted at the concession stand and there is an ATM on site.
After you purchase your tickets, find a great "seat" and park your car or SUV between the poles. When the movie begins, turn your radio to 88.1 FM or rent or buy a radio, lean the seats back or put a blanket down in the hatchback, relax and enjoy the show!
No outside food or drink is allowed, but with a full-service concession stand serving up favorites like corndogs, french fries, BBQ sandwiches, wings, ice cream, candy, Sundrop, Cherry Fanta and more – no one will leave hungry.
Double your fun this May 29, 30 and 31 with a double feature! Watch Shrek (PG) then catch Doolittle (PG) on Screen 1. (Screen 2 has only options rated R this weekend.) You'll have plenty of time to fuel up for the next feature or hit the restrooms with a 15-minute intermission.
