Be on the lookout for giddy lads and lassies this weekend as lots of St. Patrick Day’s fun is happening around town. Here are our top 5 picks for celebrating the weekend.

1. Wear your green and join in the uptown festivities at the 18th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Charlotte Goes Green Festival. Expect lots of Irish music, Irish dancers, bagpipers, and don’t miss the Celtic Kids Zone filled with fun for the kids.

2. Kids of all ages can join in a mountain bike skills and racing session at the Charlotte Youth Cycling Race. The skills session is followed by races geared to fit various ages and abilities. (Must preregister for the races).

3. Enjoy all things Irish with lots of games and prizes and a few added surprises at the Epicentre’s Kids Club Central: Celebrates St. Patrick’s Day event. Radio Disney brings their special magic and Charlotte Parent will be there to share in the fun. Stop by our table and say hello!

4. Go on a hunt for the sneaky green guy and his pot of gold with lots of clues along the way at the Leprechaun Trek at Schiele Museum.

5. Things get ugly when a not so handsome prince shows up to rescue a feisty princess. The story of the green ogre comes to life on stage in Shrek the Musical at Halton Theater.
