With everyone talking about National Pancake Day yesterday, it got us thinking — there’s just something about pancakes that makes them the perfect breakfast, lunch, or dinner! You can top them with sauces, fruit, or have them served up in fun shapes with a side of bacon or eggs. Or deviate from the norm with a crisp Belgian waffle or stuffed French toast or crepe.

​This local franchise, which has locations all over the Charlotte area, is well-known for its breakfast and brunch options. Its flapjacks come in a variety of flavors, including Raspberry Walnut, Coconut, Banana Nut and Apple Cinnamon. If you’ve brought your appetite, you can also try their Stuffed Toast with Peanut Butter or Strawberry and Cream Cheese. Various locations in Charlotte.

At this Cotswold eatery you can satisfy a craving for chicken and waffles or delight the kids with a fluffy chocolate chip pancake in the shape of Mickey Mouse. I couldn't leave my kids' favorite place for pancakes off the list. IHOP has some of the most decadent pancakes around. From Strawberry Banana to Double Blueberry to the Raspberry White Chocolate Chip Pancakes, this is a place where pancakes are more like dessert.
