Take The Train to Christmas Town

Embark on a merry holiday train ride from downtown Belmont through the month of December.

Registration is now open for The Train to Christmas Town, a custom holiday train ride departing from downtown Belmont through the month of December. The event is based on author Peggy Ellis’ book of the same name.

The book centers on Janet, a girl searching for new meaning in friendship, family and the meaning of Christmas. In the Train to Christmas Town event, guests are welcomed aboard the train by the conductor, where they sip hot cocoa and nibble on cookies as the story is read aloud by the voice of the author. A 30-minute journey brings the train to Christmas Town, where Santa climbs onboard and greets every child with holiday cheer, presenting each with a special Christmas gift.

The train departs on select dates through Dec. 27, with departure times at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices begin at $25 per child and $35 per adult. Visit traintochristmastown.com to reserve your tickets.
