McAdenville Announces Christmas Town U.S.A. Alterations Due to COVID-19
Town is just 18 miles away from Charlotte
Christmas Town U.S.A. will be back for its 65th year, and today, Pharr and the Town of McAdenville announced a few changes ahead of the hugely popular event running Dec. 1-26. The event typically garners more than 500,000 visitors.
Two of the biggest changes are the revised lighting schedule of 5:30 p.m.-10 p.m. each night and having no lights at Christmas Town Lake. Other changes include:
- The Christmas Town 5K is now a virtual race.
- There will be no tree lighting ceremony.
- There will be no Yule Log Parade.
Earlier this year, McAdenville briefly brought back the lights to spread cheer during the early days of the pandemic. Pharr and the Town of McAdenville say you’ll be able to find more forthcoming details at ChristmasTownUSA.org.
