Call the sitter and make plans to attend Charlotte’s Taste of the Nation for No Kid Hungry April 15. The 20th anniversary event features Charlotte’s top chefs, restaurateurs and mixologists united for a cause: making sure all children in this country gets the healthy food they need.

Brush shoulders with 25 of the city’s most influential creators in the food and drink scene, and taste their signature fare and spirits. Culinary tastemakers leading the 2015 event include BAKU Restaurant, Evoke – Le Méridien, Fahrenheit, The Fig Tree Restaurant, Lumiere, and Upstream.

One in five children in this country struggles with hunger, including more than 600,000 kids in North Carolina. No Kid Hungry is helping put an end to childhood hunger by ensuring that kids start the day with a nutritious breakfast and families learn the skills they need to shop and cook on a budget.
