Hot New Cribs
Once upon a time, cribs were as over the top as some of the weddings that preceded the pregnancy.
Once upon a time, cribs were as over the top as some of the weddings that preceded the pregnancy. However, this new generation of parents are embracing a simpler life and a simpler style of crib. No longer are they demanding that the crib do double duty as a convertible bed. After all, most cribs get passed down to subsequent children rather than transition with the firstborn.

Another factor that led to the simplification is that many parents are heeding the advice of the Consumer Product Safety Commission and avoiding the use of bumper pads. The clean lines of the newer cribs work well with the simpler look of no pads. There is a significant cost savings, too, since parents only have to buy sheets rather than the entire bumper and comforter set.

This crib features a removable baby changing station at the end of the crib. Home sizes have taken a downturn along with the economy so this is an ideal space saving option for smaller nurseries. It is also convenient for grandparents since it will easily tuck into the corner of a spare bedroom and an additional changing table won't be needed.
Are you or someone you know expecting? How do you feel about these new developments in cribs? I'd love to hear your feedback!
