1. NOW OPEN: CALLIE’S HOT LITTLE BISCUIT
Charleston-based Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit is open in South End. The grab-and-go biscuit counter has kid-friendly varieties like cinnamon and country ham, plus a birthday biscuit topped with frosting and rainbow sprinkles. If you’re looking for a creative birthday party, Callie’s offers a confetti party class for parents and kids to bake and decorate their own biscuits. The 90-minute class costs $40 per child, $70 per parent, and can accommodate up to eight people.

The Home Depot hosts a free kids workshop the first Saturday of every month at 9 a.m. Kids get to keep their craft, as well as their workshop apron, pin, and certificate of achievement.
This series of docent-led museum tours are free at all three Levine Center for the Arts institutions: the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, Mint Museum Uptown, and the Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture. The hour-long tours occur every second Wednesday of the month at 10:30 a.m. from September to May, and rotate between the three museums. Space is limited based on the number of strollers, so registration is required. Fussing, diaper changing, and nursing are welcome, and older siblings can accompany the stroller at no charge.
