Be part of the magic when you help set the night aglow at the Charlotte Water Lantern Festival May 8 at Symphony Park in Southpark! Beautiful Symphony Park is located at 4400 Sharon Road in Charlotte.
This family-friendly, one of kind experience begins at 5:30 p.m. with food trucks, music and activities. At 7 p.m. you’ll begin decorating your lantern and making it your own. Between 8:30-9:30 p.m. lanterns will be launched and join together to create a peaceful ambiance. Be sure to find a good place to watch the lanterns make their way across the pond! At 10 p.m., the event will close.
Tickets start at $11.99 for youth and $25.99 for adults (fees not included). Children 7 and younger are free however they will not get a lantern to decorate and send off unless they have a youth ticket. Tickets include a wristband for entry into the festival area, a floating lantern kit, LED candle, commemorative drawstring bag and marker.
