4 Early-Bird Halloween Special Events

Halloween is a pretty big deal for all ages. And just so happens, school is also out this Halloween which also happens to fall on a Friday – the Friday after a Panther’s Thursday night home game. If you’re looking for something to do wih the kids to keep them busy before the trick-or-treating begins, consider these four Halloween events happening during the day Friday, Oct. 31.

1. It’s Charlotte Checkers Hockey Game Day. Come watch the Charlotte Checkers take on the Hamilton Bulldogs in a midday game. Kids 12 and under get in free and costumes are welcome. (Children must be accompanied by an adult).

2. It’s Halloween at Discovery Place. Kids can wear their costumes and join in alternative trick-or-treating for festive novelties and fun with face painting, crafts and science experiments.

3. 7th Street Market is hosting its own Trick-or-Treat Halloween Family Night, starting at 4pm, that includes story-telling, candy-apple making and a costume parade.

4. Add a little art into their Halloween festivities at the Pop Up Program: Dia de los Muertas Skull Collage event at the Mint Museum.
