This one-stop shop for recalls including medicine, consumer products, cosmetics, motor vehicles and more. Recalls.gov gathers information that used to be scattered across the Internet. This site makes it easy to check on recent recalls and report hazardous products.


 

CPSC.gov - Adventures of Kidd Safety

Brought to you by the Consumer Product Safety Commission, this Web site for kids is designed to prevent unreasonable risks of injuries to kids using consumer products. Promotes playground safety, helmet use and provides fun games to play online.

 


 

Commonsensemedia.org - Family Movie, TV and Game Reviews

This non-partisan, not-for-profit organization provides information and tools for families to make informed choices about the media using green, yellow and red ratings for categories like sex, violence and language. One caveat: Beware bogus reader reviews, which may skew the ratings for age appropriateness. For example, one 15-year-old reviewer suggested an R-rated film was good for ages 2 and above.
