Maternal Mortality Rates Jump in US

How can this be true? The Daily Post is surprised that with all the leading edge technologies, medicines and practices in our country, this statistic is on the rise. Then again, cesarean births, obesity and high blood pressure increases are contributing factors to maternal mortality.
