Crisis Assistance Ministry

Crisis Assistance Ministry provides emergency financial assistance to low-income families in Mecklenburg County for rent, utilities and food paid directly to the landlord, utility or food vendor. Crisis provides donated clothing, household goods, furniture and cars at no cost. Crisis also creates partnerships between partner groups from the community and client families to help them set goals and move ahead in their lives.

The Family Center

The Family Center provides comprehensive prevention and treatment services to children and families at risk related to child neglect and/or physical and sexual abuse in Mecklenburg County. The Children’s Personal Safety Program is an education awareness and intervention program for children, educators and parents.

Levine Jewish Community Center

The Jewish Community Center, one of the partners in Shalom Park, offers year-round programming for families. Located on the same property as Temples Beth El and Israel, the JCC is a focal point for Jewish community life and interaction but is open to people of all interests and backgrounds. Members receive priority registration for all programs. Family activities include day care, health and fitness facilities, camp, educational programs and cultural events.
