Everything You Can Access for Free with a CharMeck Library Card

While libraries are closed to encourage social distancing, online access to digital resources becomes even more important. Here's what you can access for free with your Charlotte Mecklenburg Library card.

Participating in school, work, and personal projects from home mean that accessing digital resources remotely is more important than ever.

The Charlotte Mecklenburg Library and other branches are closed to encourage social distancing, however, if you have a Charlotte Mecklenburg Library card, you can access all of the Library's digital resources for free from anywhere.

Library cards are free to Mecklenburg County residents. They're also free to people who live outside of the county but are Mecklenburg County property owners. (Sign up for a Charlotte Mecklenburg Library card here if you don't have one yet.)

All the time we're spending online at home is a fantastic opportunity to dive into the world of e-books, e-audiobooks, movies, music, newspapers, magazines, and more resources that the Library offers for free, from anywhere, to account holders.

Several of the Library's digital resources have increased the number of checkouts customers can make each month to support the increase in at-home activity, which means the whole family can enjoy more of the content they love.

Ranging from educational resources to foreign language programs to archives and databases, the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library's digital resources are vast and for all curiosities and ages.

In addition to the Chadwyck-Healey Poetry Collection, the North Carolina Library for the Blind, and the Historic North Carolina Digital Newspaper Collection, here are more of the online resources you can access for free from anywhere with your CharMeck Library card...
