> Hand write and illustrate an original storybook
> No computer generated or typed books will be accepted
> Story and images should be appropriate for a child 4 to 8 years old
> Books may be written in English and Spanish
> Book collaborations are excepted and judged in a special category
> Collaborations must be two (2) students in the same grade or category (i.e. 2nd & 3rd grader, but not a 1st & 4th grader)
> Entrants must be in Grades K-8 to qualify
> Entrants must download and fill out the Title Page to submit with the book (It may be clipped inside, folded and inserted, stapled or attached as part of the book)
> All required (marked by *) fields of Title Page must be completed. If a teacher or school is submitting a group of entries, they may use their contact e-mail and school address, but students' name, age and telephone must be submitted
> 20 pages maximum (no computer media accepted)
> Books should be no smaller than 5" x 8" (one half standard paper size)
> Staple, stitch, bind, clip or insert into a folder. Use your imagination to create your book!
> Include a title page: Book title, Author's Name, Address, Phone, E-mail, Grade and School

Prizes will be awarded in all categories. And all participants will receive a certificate of participation. A reception for all participants and family members will be held at ImaginOn in January 2010 on a date to be announced!
Books may be picked up on the date of the reception. Anyone picking up more than four (4) books must submit a list in advance of the event and books will be pre-pulled to avoid delays. All books not picked up at the reception become the property of Charlotte Parent magazine. Due to the quantity of books received, we cannot mail or deliver any books.
