Help spread kindness and joy during the 2018 Great Kindness Challenge Jan. 22-26, when more than 20 million children nationwide are expected to unite and perform 2 billion acts of kindness.
The Great Kindness Challenge, which is being implemented by the nonprofit group Kids for Peace, asks students nationwide to do as many kind acts as possible by choosing from a 50-item checklist. Some of the challenges include smiling at 25 people, making a new friend and helping a younger student. Students are encouraged to complete each kind act over the course of the week, as well as take part in additional service and community-building events.
This positive, proactive and powerful week mobilizes students to create more inviting school climates that are respectful, compassionate and kind. The Great Kindness Challenge is FREE for schools. Learn more at greatkindnesschallenge.org,
