Prom Project to Give Away Hundreds of Free Dresses
Teen girls will enjoy prom dress giveaway, etiquette sessions on March 10.
Prom dreams will come true for more than 200 local high-school girls when they attend the 16th Annual Prom Project’s dress distribution on Saturday, March 10. The program is presented by Girl Talk Foundation Inc. and the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library.
The event will be held at ImaginOn: The Joe & Joan Martin Center at 300 E. Seventh St. in Charlotte from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Since its inception, Prom Project has helped more than 26,000 teen girls and their families receive prom attire – boosting girls’ self-esteem and relieving the financial burden from their families.
In addition to receiving free formal attire, girls will receive lessons on social etiquette, dating safety and additional resources. Please note that girls must attend an etiquette session as a prerequisite to receiving a dress.
To participate, girls must also register in advance.
