Did An Asteroid Really Kill the Dinosaurs?

Sixty five (65) million years ago the last of the non-avian dinosaurs vanished from the fossil record.  Scientists have discovered evidence that an impact from and extra-terrestrial object occured at this same time. Is it possible that an asteroid collided with Earth and wiped-out T.rex, Triceratops and the rest of the dinosaurs?
