Early settlers in the Carolina Backcountry prized the hog for its food value and utilitarian by-products. The customary community affair of processing and preserving a whole hog will be demonstrated at Historic Brattonsville. Learn about traditional American foodways with a day full of 19th century-style pork processing activities.
