Description

In August 1775, forty nine (49) men--husbands, sons, farmers--made history as they signed a document proclaiming independence from Great Britain, the Tryon Association.

Visit the Backcountry Farm to learn of this important event in Gaston County's history while exploring common trades, chores, and demonstrations of flintlock firearms. Don't miss the official reading of the document at 4pm.
