The time is here to make summer trip plans. Through an agreement with Amtrak, NC by Train is offering a summer 2017 deal, June 1-Aug. 31, in which children ages 2-12 can ride for $5 to any destination within North Carolina on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, when accompanied by a paying adult.
With 12 stops, including Greensboro, Durham and Raleigh, there's plenty of exploring to do along North Carolina's rail corridor, whether you take a day trip or stay overnight, or just want to take a ride on the train. It's a great transportation adventure for kids, and gives you time to talk, play games or read with as a family while you travel.
Most stations have taxi service available if you choose to venture to a museum or other local hotspot or hotel if staying overnight. Bike racks are also available if you want to travel with your own mode of transportation. Find more information and book tickets today at ncbytrain.org. When purchasing tickets, use the promo code V626.
