10 Ways To Socialize Your Workout in Charlotte
Who says exercise has to be a solo adventure?
1. Sign up to run a race with a friend.

2. Hit Freedom Park and the obstacle course at the NFL Play 60 KidZone.
Kids love the obstacle course, and all can talk and walk around the park afterwards.
3. Organize a day at the U.S. National Whitewater Center.
Purchase passes and rock climb, do some whitewater rafting, zip lining, the ropes courses, or take the Long Point Obstacle Challenge, which is series of obstacles a few feet off the ground. Afterwards, grab a bite to eat and watch the rafters and kayakers.
4. Form a walking group.
Talk to a few other moms at soccer, baseball or other sports practice. Walk together around the sports facility during practice so you get exercise while the kids do too.
5. Plan a social outing at nearby Crowder’s Mountain.
Pack a picnic and go on a hike on one of the numerous trails in the park.
6. Get a walking buddy.
Enlist a neighbor or friend to walk or run with in the evenings as a great way to unwind from the day.

Have a family night at one of the local roller skating rinks — and invite friends and neighbors to join you.

Suggest a play date to one of the local indoor trampoline parks and purchase a pass to bounce for a different type of workout.
